Audio DSP Software Library

Fiberdyne can provide Advanced Audio DSP software that works on a number of different platforms and can easily be ported to new platforms with complete integration services into Linux or Android for the various bus networks such as A2B, MOST and Ethernet.

The DSP core comes with a number of plugins.  Customers can choose from very basic DSP processing through to advanced systems such as active noise cancellation (ANC), acoustic vehicle alerting system (AVAS), telephone microphone-array beamforming, and echo cancellation.

The DSP library is currently compatible with the Analog Devices SHARC and Blackfin range of processors, the Tensilica HiFi2 DSP and more recently the Renesas R-car platform and other ARM based SoC platforms.

Fiberdyne has developed this library for both the Automotive Grade Linux AGL platform as well as the Android platform.  The library comes with a complete AGL or Android framework that removes the existing bottleneck in the underlying Linux ALSA processing and streamlines the audio through DMA transfers directly into the HiFi2 engine resulting in much better performance for both the DSP and main SoC ARM cores.  The package comes with a complete GUI for both AGL and Android ready to run out of the box.

DSP Core

The Fiberdyne DSP core gives complete control of the audio processing chain including features such as signal routing, time-alignment, gain control, crossovers, phase inversion, channel filters, EQ, balance and fade, bass, mid, treble controls, and more.

Centre Channel Upmixing

The Fiberdyne Centre-channel Upmixing Module analyses and converts your stereo audio to 3 channel audio (Left, Right, Centre) in real-time. Perfect for audio systems with a centre speaker mounted in the dashboard to produce immersive sound fields.

Active Noise Cancellation (ANC)

Fiberdyne offers ANC systems to provide reduce engine noise in the vehicle for a comfortable, quiet, driving experience. Utilizing our A2B MEMS microphones and CAN bus connectivity, the Fiberdyne ANC system monitors and analyses engine noise in the vehicle and then using our intelligent DSP algorithms can cancel out up to 15dB of engine noise in the vehicle cabin.

Acoustic Vehicle Alerting System (AVAS)

The Fiberdyne AVAS module is designed to produce acoustic warning sounds to alert pedestrians to electric vehicles driving nearby at low speeds. With a growing need for safety and to meet international regulations and requirements, talk to us about developing a custom solution for your needs.
